Job: Postdoctoral Opportunity: Identifying and evaluating innovation opportunities for a net-zero emission energy system (Carnegie Science, Department of Global Ecology)
No Deadline
"Selected fellow(s) will join a highly collaborative and productive team of scientists identifying and evaluating innovative opportunities for net-zero emission energy under the guidance of Dr. Ken Caldeira. Our research focuses on developing innovative technologies and leveraging novel modeling strategies (e.g., macro-energy, integrated-assessment, climate and carbon-cycle modeling) to address urgent climate and energy challenges. Examples of recent research include: understanding electricity storage requirements for variable renewable electricity systems; a Monte Carlo analysis of architectures for future near-zero emission energy systems; and efficacy of seagrass as a carbon sink.
