Project: Forests for the Future – New Forests for Africa

Large reforestation project. "Reforestation and landscape restoration as means of combating climate change are now high on the agenda of many governments and organizations, especially in the wake of COP21 in Paris. Close cooperation between businesses and investors is needed to meet this challenge and to develop plantation forestry into a stable and sustainable business that will be beneficial to all involved. The opportunities for all stakeholders are huge."

Project: Blue Planet

"Blue Planet’s new biomimetic carbon capture and mineralization technology utilizes several patented scientific breakthoughs. Blue Planet uses it’s patented Liquid Condensed Phase (LCP™) Technology to convert CO2 into high-value CarbonMix™ building and highway materials. Blue Planet provides CO2 capture and sequestration, criteria pollutant removal, and water management services. We provide these services to emitters in the coal, gas, cement and refinery industries. Blue carbon is captured naturally by marine ecosystems to build coral reefs. Blue Planet uses a similar mineralization process to convert CO2 into carbon negative building materials."

Project: Marin Carbon Project

"In response to the rapid pace of global climate change, the Marin Carbon Project (MCP) seeks to enhance carbon sequestration in rangeland, agricultural, and forest soils through applied research, demonstration and implementation. Our vision is for landowners and land managers of agricultural ecosystems to serve as stewards of soil health and to undertake carbon farming in a manner that can improve on-farm productivity and viability, enhance ecosystem functions, and stop and reverse climate change."

Project: Climateworks. About the Pilot and Demonstration Project

Swiss direct air capture project. "The overall goal is to design, build and continuously operate an industrial scale CO2 capture plant and sell atmospheric CO2 to a customer. The plant will be operational by mid-2016 and annually capture 900 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere, enhancing the growth of vegetables and lettuce in a nearby greenhouse of Gebrüder Meier by up to 20 percent. The plant is constructed as part of a three-year pilot and demonstration project with Gebrüder Meier and Zweckverband Kehrichtverwertung Zürcher Oberland KEZO (a municipal waste disposal company) as project partners. The project is supported by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE)."

Project: 4 for 1000: a New Program for Carbon Sequestration in Agriculture

"Agriculture can and must be part of the solution to climate change. The French Minister of Agriculture, Stéphane Le Foll, and Ambassador for Paris Climate 2015, Laurence Tubiana, emphasized this imperative at a conference that took place in Paris on April 27, 2015, during which they introduced the carbon sequestration program for agriculture, named “4 per 1000.”"
