"You're invited to submit abstracts for consideration, for both oral and poster presentations, related to the technical themes of the conference. It is important that sufficient information is included in your abstract to allow it to be assessed fairly, as the abstract must represent the actual paper that will be presented at the conference. In the selection of papers for the conference, emphasis will be placed on the presentation of results and new developments"

Global Cement: Aalborg Portland Cement to launch carbon capture and storage project at Rørdal cement plant in 2022

"Denmark: Aalborg Portland Cement will begin construction of a carbon capture and storage (CCS) system at its Rørdal, North Jutland, cement plant. It will collaborate with Project Greensand CCS consortium partners to store the captured CO2 in drained oilfields below the North Sea. The company estimates that the Danish part of the North Sea has 16Gt of CO2 storage capacity, out of 300Gt under all EU waters. The endeavour aims to help Denmark to realise its targeted 70% reduction of CO2 emissions by 2030."

Gasworld: Aramis CCS project aims for large-scale carbon reduction

"A partnership between Dutch energy companies that will aim to make major headway in reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions for 2030 has been formed. A collaboration between TotalEnergies, Shell Netherlands, Energie Beher Nederland (EBN) and Gasunie will aim to initiate the Aramis project to reduce industrial CO2 in the Netherlands by developing CO2 transport facilities to allow for offshore storage of the gas."

Upstream: Norway opens up two new offshore areas for carbon capture and storage

"The Norwegian government has released two new areas for the potential injection and storage of carbon dioxide on the Norwegian continental shelf. The government confirmed last week the two areas had been open for applications following approaches from several unnamed industry players which considered those specific areas as “interesting” for CO2 storage."
